3Advice from Dentists
Everyone wants to know how to best care for their teeth and keep them as healthy as possible. Dentists do a great deal to try to keep the public informed on basic dental care. Some of their basic advice is as follows. Brushing is, of course, the most essential component to caring for your teeth. One should ideally brush and floss a half hour after every meal, but if this is not possible, brushing and flossing at least twice a day is imperative. One should brush with a toothbrush that is of the level of softness that your dentist recommends for you. Brush in a circular motion, covering your teeth, gums, tongue and the roof of your mouth. Follow by flossing thoroughly, between and around teeth. Finishing with a swish of mouthwash is recommended. Lastly, manage your diet for proper care of your teeth. Stay away from sugary, processed food and consume plenty of calcium through vegetables and other healthy sources. Always brush your teeth before you go to bed.
